Her fake date until midnight
Her fake date until midnight: Secrets of Wildbrook #1 | Eve Pendle
1 post | 1 read
He's hot. Rich. Domineering. And grumpy.
Hedley Decker is used to people obeying his every command, but the unconscious stray dog on his doorstep isn't impressed, and nor is the pretty veterinarian who saves it. Overhearing that she needs a date for her ex boyfriend's wedding, he proposes a deal: she'll help him find the real owner before the puppies arrive, he'll be her fake date. But one evening isn’t enough. She’s a temptation he can’t resist.
She's kind, trapped, and soon to be broke.
Her dad's illness means Clara Rowe desperately needs to keep her job at the only veterinary clinic, owned by her ex's father. If that means overtime and going to the wedding solo, so be it. Then gorgeous and arrogant billionaire Hedley Decker storms into her life with an offer of one night of pretense and pleasure that’s too good to be true.
They join forces to search for the lost dog's owner, and their spark of attraction flares. He's returning to his city life; she knows better than to risk her heart. How can they have forever love when they're faking it, and time is running out?
A scorching hot fake dating, opposites attract, small-town Cinderella British romance with heart, humor and banter.

Pickpick

The first instalment in the standalone series was an amazing read. The author's writing is very charming, entertaining and she displays the characters very relatable.

The storytelling was smooth and the third break up act was nicely done. What a deliciously spicy book.

This book addressed also severe acne from the FMC's perspective and I think the matter was relatively realistically presented. My heart ached for Clara.
