so-soPT was such an interesting character in the Engineer‘s wife, that I wanted to learn more. Turns out his portrayal in that book was completely made up. This book was interesting, but written in his own voice with a high opinion of himself…and a bit too many facts and self-congratulatory info that it was a struggle to get through. But I finally did learn how the Barnum & Bailey circus came into existence.
