I was super-excited to see this new (2020) volume of Warner short stories, as it includes four not in her Kingdoms of Elfin collection, which is one of my favourite books. And whatever she has to write about the fables mother cats tell to their kittens is fine by me!
E Pluribus Unicorn mainly because of the vintage cover, but also because Sturgeon was a good sci fi storyteller, and I'm interested to see what he did with horror and ⬇️

Bookwomble ... the supernatural.
I read a collection of Perec's essays earlier this year and I'm keen to see what his fiction is like.
The Saramago because ... it's Saramago 🤷🏻‍♂️😊

LeahBergen I haven‘t tried Warner‘s short stories yet (but I‘m a big fan of Handheld Press). 8mo
Bookwomble @LeahBergen I have a couple of her novels unread, but she's a favourite author just based on the Kingdoms of Elfin stories, so I'm looking forward to this one! This is my first Handheld Book, and they are nicely made. The two Warners are nicely matched with Arthur Rackham cover art 😍 8mo
RamsFan1963 E Pluribus Unicorn is one of my favorite books. I'm not much on short stories, but, like Neil Gaiman, Sturgeon packs a punch in each tale. 8mo
Bookwomble @RamsFan1963 Ooh, that's an encouraging recommendation - thanks, Kevin 😊 I intend to read it next month. 8mo
