Again, I'm so glad #BookSpin got me to read this; as someone who's in both autistic spaces and parent spaces, it was just the book I needed. The authors, with commentary by other autistic advocates, demonstrate how to build bridges between two communities that often feel very at odds, but have the same basic goal: the well being of autistic people.

Pickpick

This book is written by a pair of moms that are bloggers/advocates. Both moms have Autistic children as well as one being Autistic herself. My middle child is Autistic & so I am always reading to learn more from others. I have never connected with a book so much. The authors discuss their experiences of getting their kids diagnosed as well as the ups & downs that go along with raising an Autistic child. I really appreciated their insights &

ncsufoxes experiences. It definitely gave me some things to reflect & use in my practice as a parent & early intervention practitioner. #bookspin book 11mo
