pickI picked this up when the #goldenagecrimeclub selection for last month was almost impossible for me to find, haha (sorry @Mitch ). I really liked it! Like an early romantic suspense. I cared about what happened at the end despite the main protagonists being rather flat - but the villains were excellent. A great femme fatale and a fantastically creepy doctor later played by Karlof in a movie.
