Inescapable
Inescapable | Amy A. Bartol
My name is Evie Claremont and this was to be the making of memy freshman year of college. I'd been hoping that once I'd arrived on Crestwood's campus, the nightmare that I've been having would go away. It hasn't. I may be an inexperienced seventeen-year-old, but I'm groundedsane. I look for rational explanations to even the strangest circumstances. Since meeting sophomore Reed Wellington, however, nothing makes any sense. Whenever he's near, I feel an attraction to hima magnetic kind of force pulling me towards him. I know what you're thinkingthat sounds fairly awesome. Yeah, it would beif he liked me, but Reed acts as if I'm the worst thing that has ever happened to Crestwoodor him. But get this, for some reason every time I turn around he's there, barging into my life. What is the secret that he's keeping from me? I'm hoping that it's anything but what I suspect: that he's not exactly normaland neither am I. So, maybe Crestwood won't be the making of me, but it could be the breaking of me. I've been left to wonder if the dark future my dream is foretelling isinescapable.

This is going to kind of tell you how I felt about the next book in the series, but that‘s okay. I FB this book was a little more fleshed out, it would have been fine as a stand-alone novel. I was perfectly happy with the way it ended.

Another book that made my blood boil, and I just received it. The writing was poorly done, the way the author had written this, it read as if she was trying to tell the reader that we are unintelligent. While I am a fan of learning new words, she sprinkled way too many of them for her descriptions of things that it literally felt like a dictionary. Also, male protagonist is a controlling a-hole and she LIKES HIM. Nice... just nice. 1/5 stars.

MeikyuuAgeha I couldn't fit my whole review in here, but literally the heroine didn't know how to take a hint. The main male protagonist is a controlling a-hole with a temper, and guess what? THE HEROINE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HOW CONTROLLING HE IS BECAUSE HE'S HOT? Like what in the actual fudge monkeys? And then the other male interest, his accent, she laid the drawl heavy on him. It made it painful to read, JUST AN ABSOLUTE NO. 7y
LauraBrook What in the actual Eff?!? Great review! Thanks for taking one for the team - wish there was a "don't want to read" option here. Fingers crossed your next book is better - though it pretty much has to be, right?!? 7y
MeikyuuAgeha @LauraBrook oh I hope so, I was so upset the last two books I read fell flat... and it's rare when I get a YA book that I really truly don't like 7y

This book was right up my alley. Evie leads a normal life before she heads to college where she meets Reed, who seems to absolutely despise her. She soon discovers he's not a regular boy and she may not be a regular girl, but what is she? And then there's Russell - what is he to her? And what is with all the dreams/visions she is having - what do they mean? I won't give it away but I will definitely be delving further into this series! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

'Reed lifts his lips from mine, and looking into my eyes, he murmurs, “I want those thousand years with you, Evie, you have no idea how much I want them. I want a thousand years, and then I want a hundred thousand more.'
