One night. That's all the time a family has to decide what to do with the man they believe murdered their daughter: Do they forgive him, or take justice into their own hands? An electrifying novel by the author of Nanny Needed. . . The anonymous letters arrive in the mail, one by one: To find out what really happened to Meg, meet at this location. Dont tell anyone youre coming. In one night, youll find out everything you need to know. Ten years after her murder, the letters tell Meghan's family exactly when and where to meet: a cliffside home on the Oregon coast. But on the night theyre promised answers, the convicted killerher high school boyfriend, Cal, who spent only ten years in prison for murderis found unconscious in his car, slammed into a tree near the house where the family is sitting and waiting. Is he the one who invited them to gather? As a storm rampages along the Pacific Northwest, the power cuts off and leaves the family with no chance of returning to the main road and finding help. So they drag Cal back to the house for the remainder of the night. How easy it would be to let him die and claim it was an accident. Or do they help him instead? As the hours tick by, it becomes an excruciating choice. Half of the family wants to kill him. The other half wants him to regain consciousness so he can tell them what he knows. But if Cal wakes up, he might reveal that someone in the family knows more than theyre letting on. And if thats the case, who is the real killer? And are they already in the house?

This quick, twisty thriller had me glued to the audiobook nearly the entire day. I was convinced I knew what really happened, and the story even leaned into that thought for a while, then BAM…completely went in a different direction. There was nothing particularly new or earth shattering about the story but it was entertaining and I definitely love that! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Oh! I really couldn‘t put Cross‘ latest book down! It‘s a forced locked room thriller, of sorts, as a family gathers a decade after Meghan‘s death, the daughter of Maureen and Paul, older sister of Alice and Sam. The entire family receives cryptic invitations to a remote OR coastal home, the same night as a strong storm approaches. From multiple perspectives & with plenty of secrets, this one had me hooked from start to finish! A fast & fun read!

This is one of the craziest books I‘ve read in a long time but I love her work so much! Ten years ago Megan drowned, leaving her two younger sisters to fend for themselves with grieving mom and dad who left her for another woman. Now they all gather in a creepy house during a rainstorm after the unsigned “invitation” to be there! You get the picture?
So darn good!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
