pickI was right, satisfied sigh. But, it wasn‘t till the very end that my instinct was proven true. Three women left single because of the war, move to a small town together. A dead body is discovered in their basement when they finally are able to break in on the day Daisy and her Scotland Yard husband are visiting.
so-soThe penultimate Daisy Dalrymple series entry, and I was left slightly confused and just feeling meh about the storyline. It starts out interesting - a body in the cellar leads to an investigation around the identity and the murderer. My confusion may lie in listening to multiple books in the series with secondary characters sounding the same in each book. Just one more to go!
so-soThis series has run it's course for me. I didn't enjoy this one as much as others, the mystery was a bit dull and Daisy was very annoying ... More annoying than usual

pickNice, cozy mystery. I will probably read more from this series. It was a bit repetitive in some places and I felt the ending was rushed, but overall an enjoyable read. 3.5/5 stars.
Trying out a Daisy Dalrymple Mystery. So far it fits perfectly into the category of cozy, British mystery....which I love❤️ Perfect for snowy Sunday morning.
Also thinking of all those Canadian men and women who gave their lives in WWI and WWII. Reading historical fiction and history books has made me especially sensitive to the sacrifice these young men and women made.
