This gorgeous gem of a book hiding under the dust jacket! I always read hardcovers with them on, but when I finish them the dust jackets go away and the books go on the shelves in their birthday suits. And pulling off the jackets after reading is like unwrapping a gift, it's exciting to see what's waiting underneath... This is one of my favorite hardcover designs yet.

An absolutely beautiful copy from Bookish Box! However, the content doesn‘t quite live up to the gorgeous copy. The setting is lovely, but the characters just aren‘t developed enough to connect with. The themes are obvious and their inclusion is clunky. I hope this author practices infusing her characters with depth and charm before the second installment.
