3 posts | 3 read
Join Crab and Snail in the surf zone, where they think deep thoughts and have unforgettable seaside adventures, in this graphic early reader series debut by New York Times bestselling author Beth Ferry and beloved illustrator Jared Chapman. The never-ending rain is putting a damper on Crab and Snails plans for a sunny, funny day. So when the BBFs (Best Beach Friends) realize that its only raining on them, they put their heads together and consult one know-it-all gull (he really does know it all!) to get to the bottom of it. By the time the rain clears, the duo will have made a new friend and learned something new and wonderful about friendship! Crab and Snail are everyones next favorite characters in the graphic early reader space. Fans of Narwhal & Jelly; Pea, Bee, & Jay; and Arlo & Pips will love these quirky characters and clever stories.

Are you Salty 🐌 or 🦀? Do you think deep thoughts or mostly about food? I have to admit, I think about food. I love Beth Ferry books about friendship. They are adorable.

The first book in a new series about best friends Crab & Snail. This story about friendship is a little disjointed and goes on a little long but its graphic novel format is sure to interest young readers who want to be reading comics like the big kids. The illustrations are colorful and fun. The raw material is there and we can hope the author really hits her stride in subsequent books. On sale 3/22/22.
