The Winter Wives
The Winter Wives | Linden MacIntyre
3 posts | 2 read
During a long night of drinking, the fault lines between two old friends start to show. One of the biggest: the two men married sisters - one of whom both of them loved. In one traumatic moment, Allan loses control of his life, his wife and his business empire, which turns out to have been built on lies and the illegal drug trade. And Byron has to suddenly confront his own weaknesses and strengths and his tangled relationship with Allan. No one will anticipate the lengths to which Byron will go to make sense of his life. Author of "The Bishop's Man." Residence: Toronto, ON. Print run 12,000.

Didn‘t love this book. The premise was good but I just could not get into it for whatever reason. I found the narrators voice dull. It was not a page turner for me.

That ending didn't provide any clarity whatsoever for me. I really have no idea where everyone stands and I didn't like any of the characters to be honest. It was a "what was that" upon finishing the book. I hear alot of people loved it so this may be the first read for me that I really didn't get the hype.

A new Linden MacIntyre 🍁is an automatic buy for me. It came out today so I hustled out to buy it. The Reading List sounded completely delightful so I needed to buy that one too now didn‘t I??

Tamye Of course, you did! Looking forward to reading both of these books, Penny! 3y
Penny_LiteraryHoarders @Tamye 😘😘 I‘m halfway through Winter Wives and to me it‘s very classic MacIntyre. 3y
