Lapis Luna Zinfandel pairs well with a book where the color red and red liquid play a prominent role. The book is a bit dated in many ways & not really PC by today‘s standards and the medical stuff often made me 🥴but it‘s still an enjoyable bit of sci-Fi horror. Also, why was I reading this when I was 11?

The Season of Passage | Christopher Pike

Started a re-read of Christopher Pike‘s “A Season of Passage”, a favorite from my youth. The most basic plot of the book revolves around a U.S. manned mission to Mars, but it‘s a sci-fi/horror book that also involves a story within a story. I recommend you check it out if that sounds like your wheelhouse, but fair warning, it was originally written in the 70s & after 17 pages I suspect some things may not hold up very well.

MaleficentBookDragon I 🖤 this book. It was recommended by a friend. I had not read his YA books so I was unfamiliar with Pike. This was a great take on vampires. Have you read The Cold One? That is my favorite of his.

Redjewel_7734 @MaleficentBookDragon I've only read three of his books: Season of Passage, The Cold One, & The Listeners. I first read them in high school, & I've enjoyed rereading them since 😊 I love how he plays with myth & expectation 7y
