I bought this book when I heard Maryse Conde was tipped for the Nobel prize and now I‘ve read this I‘m 100% sure she deserves a Nobel prize. The prose was so subtle but so finely crafted, and the amount of story and depth she executed in so few words was just breathtaking. I want to take a course unraveling what she meant by all of it. Give this woman a Nobel prize.
