Because I don't have a full time job yet (still a student and will be for a few more years) I'm doing my #workplacebooks as my future career(s).... Archivist, Museum Director, Exhibit Designer, PR/ Journalist. Crazy world coming up but never will a learning opportunity be missed in it :) #somethingforsept

BookishFeminist @becausetrains (my partner) has a masters in museum studies! He loves it. He's currently archiving fun literary objects things for NPS. 8y
Library-Belle @BookishFeminist that sounds like tons of fun! I'm hoping to get to work with some literary materials but my goal is Scotland in the long run or working with theatre materials 8y
becausetrains @Library-Belle best of luck! I know a number of people who went through the Oxford online museum studies program - maybe you could just do it in person and commute from Edinburgh 😊 8y

Writing out my archives textbook glossary to help stick these terms in my head.... Absolutely love writing and seeing the writing in the metal tip of my pen

MrBook If I could write faster than I type, then I'd definitely to all of my writing long-hand. The slower pace does allow for more thought to go into each sentence so that each sentence needs less revision, however it's a lot easier to revise on a computer with the backspace key and omnipresent cursor, lol. 8y
Library-Belle @MrBook I find writing long hand to be soothing when I need to slow down because when I write long hand on my own terms I go perfectionist.... When I'm taking notes in class however it's a massive scramble to get down everything important 8y
