pickThis picture is of Mardi at the Palm Beach zoo. Of my 300 kids, I was impressed by how many have been to see Mardi 3,300 miles away! I also love when the subtitle says it's a true story, then after I read the book #outloud, kids gasp when they see in the back matter photographs because they didn't know it was true. #WCCPBA 2023 nominee
pickNominated for the 2023 #WCCPBA I think the kids will love Claude. Personally, I'm a fan of Mardi the Palm 🌴 Beach zoo albino gator. Who knew there were so many? But this book is half about Claude and half about being rejected by your nest mates. When making new friends, maybe we need to ask: am I about to be picked of by a predator because of this person? 🤔
