pickThe comical narratives of 13th century sinners as they walk to Rome in Penance. Will Tom, son of Tom, be able to release his poor cat from the fires of hell? The book is not as twee as I‘ve made it seem here; swiving abounds. The book is about the sinners & not the trip. I wish that the author had wanted to expand out into the journey. A trip like this at that time must have been a massive life adventure, I‘d have enjoyed this authors take on it.
