On a dark, rainy night I drove my overstuffed junker car back to a town I never expected to see again. And when I needed a rescue by the side of the road, a six-foot tall piece of hot, unfinished business named Mark was what the universe sent me. Three years earlier I'd fled town (and Mark) to follow my wrongly-convicted father to his federal prison, working crappy jobs to stay afloat and visit him every second I could. But now Dad's dead and I'm mysteriously offered the best job of my life at the college where his life blew up when he was accused of a crime he didn't commit. Someone wants me here. Desperately. I'm hoping it's Mark. Because if it's not, I'm in more danger than I ever imagined. And if it is? Mark may be the most dangerous choice of all.

Mehso-so

This would‘ve been a pick if it weren‘t for the last chapter... it left on such a ridiculous cliffhanger. I wish there was at least some resolution, but it almost felt like it was missing the last chapter. I guess they‘re really pushing that next book. I‘m sure it‘ll knock off a couple of prompts, but for now I‘m checking off the #EarlyBird prompts for #Leo 🦁 I finished the whole book between 7am-10am. #ReadYourSign #CYOReadathon

Sace 👏👏👏👏 I'm not a fan of pure cliffhanger. I want to feel like there is some sort of resolution. 4y

I‘m up and at em, and ready to get started on my #CYOReadathon goals. I‘m hoping to fly through this audiobook at 3x the speed, and finish it for the #earlybird prompt for #ReadYourSign. 💚

Here we go! 😍🎉

Sace 3x speed!? Wowzers. The fastest I've ever managed is 2x. 4y
Sace PS Love that green. 4y
Clwojick @Sace hah! Yeah. Only 1/3 of my apps will go about 2x the speed. I find that so slow after listening to my audios at 3x for over two years. 4y
Sace @Clwojick can we talk about Reading speed and Libby/hoopla? It drives me nuts how little control I have over the speed and how it seems to distort the sound. 4y
Clwojick @Sace it definitely takes getting used to 😂 I can only handle it over 2x if I have my headphones in. Otherwise it sounds super warped or like Alvin the Chipmunks 😂 4y
