I was excited for this because I watched the entire anime before and already loved the characters. This is a great series that follows a group of “attractive young gentlemen who have nothing better to do” than to have a host club. It‘s super over the top and silly but also addresses gender fluidity (in the most casual way) which is great! Would be 4⭐️ if the actual formatting of the manga was easier to read at times.

Loved the anime, and I really liked the manga as well! I'm excited to read the rest of em!! Cute art style, though I understand why some people find it a bit too cluttered. Personally I didn't mind at all, but if you're not the best at focusing on this sort of thing, you may not enjoy it as much as I did

ThriftBooks haul!! Sadly one of them is a flopped edition.. I suppose I'll keep it until I find a non flopped copy to replace it with!

This way a 3/5 star read for me, and definitely out on my normal genre. I have heard good things about this series, but I'm not loving it. There were parts I enjoyed, but I find the overall concept strange, and not something I would normally read. That said I plan to continue the series.

This was my first read of the new year.

It didn't blow me away. Between being way too hyped and the fact I'd already seen the anime, volume 1 was a bit boring to me. The artwork felt kind of general and average with overly-detailed panels that didn't feel very smooth. Too many details and my eyes felt a bit strained trying to take it all in. Overall I'd say 3/5.

After years of loving this anime, and re-watching it who knows how many times, I'm finally starting the manga that spurred the craze! It's a bit tropey and over the top, but I'M SO READY!!

Just had a very entertaining argument with my daughter about the likelihood of her knowing Mozart's Sonata in D major for 2 pianos of the top of her head. No, she really does thanks to this anime. I was unable to capture a photo of her showing me her pointed disrespect however lol.
