Reading this now as an adult is such a different experience, but I still enjoyed it.

The author did an amazing job imagining what a young Elizabeth I would be like. There was a nice blend of innocence and tragedy to her character.

I also really liked the little tidbits about life at court, like how often they took baths (spoiler alert: it‘s not very often).

CaliforniaCay Aww I miss this series!! 6y

I loved this book about Queen Elizabeth I, her life described in a diary form as a young lady. A great way to provide perspective on life in the 16th century. For all those teachers, this was an excellent narrative to build vocabulary! #royals #greatread

kdwinchester @Rebecca S. Oh, yeah! I had to limit myself to collecting just these two series. Otherwise I would drive myself insane. :P Most of the hardbacks are out of print, so it's like a scavenger hunt to find them all! 8y
