Welcome to the Tribe!: Book 1
Welcome to the Tribe!: Book 1 | Flora Grimaldi
2 posts | 2 read | 1 to read
All of the grownups in Tib's prehistoric tribe know that the dinosaurs disappeared ages ago. So of course they don't believe that Tib has made friends with one. But Tumtum the dinosaur is very clever at hiding from grownups. When the friendly red dino saves the tribe's kids from a pack of hungry wolves while the startled adults look on, the shaman decides that perhaps it's time to welcome a dinosaur into the tribe.

Pickpick

A ya graphic novel about a boy who makes friends with a dinosaur. No one in his group believes it‘s real, and when they do they react in fear.

I'm not a new member by any means, but let's do this!
1. St. Charles, MO (If you've never heard of it, we're on the Missouri River near St. Louis. This is the first place Lewis and Clark stopped (or started?) West of the Mississippi River.
2. The fantastic Miss @Liberty when I made time regularly for podcasts. (cue wistful sigh here)
3. This is tough. Hm...James and the Giant Peach
4. I never had a pet that was specifically mine. 😕

readinginthedark @Mimi28 Yeah, you did! 😊It's a bit of a party school, but there are some really good programs there. 7y
Mimi28 Well she's an environmental engineer. She's done the best of all the people from high school that I have kept in touch with. I'm so proud of her! I didn't know it was a party school, lol Well she went over 20 years ago. We graduated in 1994. Boy that makes me feel old, lol 7y
readinginthedark @Mimi28 Well, I think it's only known as a party school because it's so big and football is a huge thing there. But that's awesome! Environmental engineering is no easy feat! 7y
Mimi28 Ok that makes sense about the football. Yep, I am so proud of her!! 7y
saguarosally I stayed at a hotel in Rolla once. Worst hotel ever. 7y
readinginthedark @saguarosally 😂Yeah, there are only one or two good hotels in Rolla. We lived there while my husband was in school, and my parents had some bad experiences with some of them. Sorry you had to deal with one! 7y
