The Catholic All Year Compendium
The Catholic All Year Compendium: Liturgical Living for Real Life | Kendra Tierney
1 post | 1 read
If you've been wondering how to bring the rich traditions of the Catholic Church's liturgical year into your home and into your family, this is the book for you. If you have no idea what the liturgical calendar is, this still might be the book for you, if you are looking for ways to bring your faith home from Sunday Mass, in every season, all year long. Catholic blogger and mother of many, Kendra Tierney shares how her family incorporates traditional Catholic practices into today's family life throughout the Church year--from Advent and Christmas, through Lent and Easter, to Pentecost and beyond. She provides ideas for stories, decorations, activities, and foods that will help you to celebrate your Catholic faith with your family and friends without expertise or much advance planning. She also offers tips and tricks from her fifteen years in the Catholic mommy trenches on things like surviving bringing young children to Mass and saying a family Rosary. Whether you're a convert or a revert, an expert theologian or a brand-new Catholic, a member of a big family or a little one, a stay-at-home or a working parent, you're sure to find ways to make your Catholic faith a memorable and meaningful part of your busy family life. And have fun doing it!

sarahreinhard @Cortg oooo I‘ve never read any of those. Should I start? 5y
Cortg @sarahreinhard It‘s a commitment, for sure! I read one or two a year but I absolutely love them! It has a little bit of everything; romance, family, friendship, time travel, war, deception, adventure, you name it and it‘s probably there! 5y
sarahreinhard @Cortg ok I‘m going to tbr the first one! #sold! 5y
cmastfalk @Louise I love Willa Cather‘s books! I‘m reading the last book in J. Rode‘s dystopian YA trilogy Uncloaked and listening to The Whiskey Rebels, a historical novel I‘ve been meaning to get to forever! 5y
sarahreinhard @cmastfalk ooooooo tell me more about that! With that title, I‘m already googling... 5y
cmastfalk The Whiskey Rebels? Historical novel with two storylines I expect will intertwine. Disgraced Revolutionary War spy veteran searching for the missing husband of his former fiancé. Woman and her husband duped into sacrificing everything for uncleared land in western PA. Somehow they‘re all going to be part of the Whiskey Rebellion. The protagonist is wonderfully wry. 5y
