In some ways this is quite a dry book, but the history is fascinating (to me). I had no idea that the famous "British" traitor" Lord Haw Haw", who made broadcasts to Britain from Nazi Germany, was actually Irish. Despite reading about him in a book about Holloway prison, I also didn't remember that his wife was let off, or that he had worked for the British secret service before the war.
