A Time to Die
A Time to Die | Wilbur Smith
4 posts | 6 read | 3 to read
Beneath the unforgiving, blazing heat of the African sun, two men and a woman embark on a savage hunt. A hunt that will tear their safe safari apart, plunging them into the restless tides of a deadly civil war, in Wilbur Smith's bestselling adventure, A Time to Die. For Sean Courtney, veteran guerrilla fighter and professional warrior, it is a time to fight and a time to find a deep and passionate love. For the beautiful Claudia Monterro it is a time to face the ultimate test in a world where American values count for nothing. And for Riccardo, her father, a rich and ruthless tycoon, it is a time to confront a dangerous obsession.

A Time to Die | Wilbur Smith
Bailedbailed

Book #8 in the Courtney family series. I was unable to get a digital copy of this anywhere & due to hand issues am not able to hold paperbacks…so instead of reading the whole book I read the plot on Wikipedia. I wish I could‘ve read the entire thing as it sounds interesting.

#ispy with a mostly green cover. Thanks for the tag @robinb !

How about a blue cover? @Scochrane26 @GingerAntics @Kshakal @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

robinb Oh wow...that one looks...interesting...😂😂 Thanks for playing! 👍😊🤗 4y
Texreader @robinb Doesn‘t it though? I read it probably 25 years ago but still remember it as an amazing book that‘ll have you on the edge of your seat but also it has the most horrific torture scenes I‘ve ever read. Wilbur Smith is an absolutely incredible writer— but yea that cover is...something else. 4y
robinb @Texreader I just read the blurb and it does sound suspenseful. I‘ve never read any of his books. And I‘m a bit chagrined to admit that I‘d probably have passed this one by based solely on its cover. 😕🤦🏻‍♀️ 4y

Here are some faves, fiction and nonfiction, I've read in the last 25 years that I'd #dropeverythingandread until I reached the end. Amazing books all of them. #aprilbookshowers

samwinchester90 Was Monuments Men really that good? I may have to pick it up. 7y
Texreader @samwinchester90 I was so surprised but it was so well written. I couldn't put it down. I love when that happens with nonfiction. 7y
Laura317 I loved Monuments Men! I'll have to check out your other books. 7y
Texreader @Laura317 I recommend Unbroken then. Nonfiction from WWII and even better than Monuments Men, which I loved too. 7y
Laura317 @Texreader Thanks! I just stacked it. 7y
