I am very interested in Laura and her life, at least in part because we are distantly related to her. I had read a little but about her daughter Rose previously. This treatise solidified my beliefs about Rose who was a good editor but not half the writer her mother was, in my opinion. She exerted control over them by building a house on the property and moving them into it even though it was designed to her tastes...
