I would use this book in my classroom because I enjoyed the plot already just one chapter in. It had cliffhangers so it made me want to read the entire book. I think this book is also inclusive to children who are a part of blended families, so they might relate/ connect to this book.

This chapter sets up the story explaining the blended family and how Nick, one of the main characters, feels about his new homelife. Similar to Mr. Popper's Penguin, the beginning of the chapter sets the image of a somewhat “perfect“ yet normal life only to have the rest pf the book be full of adventure and unexplained fantasies.
Picked up the rest of the Little House Series tonight & I found there is a series called after the spider wick chronicles why did I not know this? Also picked up another bookmark and a nifty lanyard for my keys.
