so-soI wanted something quick and simple to read while I was at work today as it's been a nightmarish day!
This book was... meh. The stories were nothing overly exciting, though mildly amusing, and either the telling or the translation were bland.
It was readable. That's as close as I can get to a compliment... but it was quick and simple too, so I guess theres that...
so-soWell-written short stories but too much lacking of plot for my taste. Stories of rural Russian peasants and their lamentable lives. Apparently important enough to help abolish serfdom in 1861.
