I like how this book inspires us to go outside and gets the kids brain going about how they can play outside.

A cute book that creates different poems about going outside!

“ do you like to swing wide eyed or dreaming” I especially like this quote in the poem, all about swinging because singing was one of my favorite activities during recess in elementary school I was definitely a dreamer when I swung.

I love this book, especially because of the repetition of the words like once it says the one of the final words it always does it three times. I think this is really great for kids because kids like when those are repetition and then they‘re looking for some thing that they can like guess, or they can say along with the person they‘re getting ready to

LeUyeb Pham takes the childhood play from different generations to generations. But also including timeless play activities for kids. Using imaginative play and lots of repetitive words. This author creates an awesome poetry book with great pictures that are included to perfect the poem.

Everything's a blast when you do it really fast!

Again I enjoy the diversity of the illustrations in this book. It shows that you do not have to play or only be around people that are “like“ you, but that you can have fun with anyone no matter race, gender, socioeconomic status, etc.

This book is filled with stories encouraging children to go outside and play. The poems encourage children to use their imaginations as they explore the world around them. What I love about this book is the illustrations. The illustrations show diversity among the characters portrayed, which is important to show children.

Edges:

Another cute poem that essentially describes what it‘s like to be a young fearless child walking on edges. I think young readers would relate to the want to do something that feels dangerous to them

This short but sweet poem takes a trip down the edge of a side walk. It comes from the perspective of a young child who loves to walk on these edges and is careful not to tilt or stumble.

This poem's intent was to tell a story and amuse the audience about how a child goes outside early everyday. It portrays childhood as sentimental as it . talks about a dog joining a child to play catch.

I think I would use this book in my future classroom to show that not all lines of poetry need to rhyme. This could possibly make poetry easier for some students and is an important aspect that children should understand.
