The Sweet Life: The Serial | Francine Pascal
2 posts | 2 read | 1 to read
For Jessica and Elizabeth, the sweet life begins at 30... Beautiful blonde twins Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield are back in The Sweet Life, now available in one volume! Three years after the events of Sweet Valley Confidential by Francine Pascal, Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield are back in Sweet Valley and inseparable once more. Things are looking up for both twins: Elizabeth is a star reporter at the LA Tribune, and Jessica's PR career is on the fast-track. But while the professional lives of the Wakefield sisters are secure, their personal lives may be in jeopardy. Jessica, now a mother, finds that managing parenthood, marriage, and a job is harder than she expected, while Elizabeth and Bruce must face a scandal that could strengthen their bond...or tear them apart forever. Meanwhile, life goes on in Sweet Valley. Families are made, hearts are broken, and . . . Lila Fowler is a reality TV star? Some things never change. The Sweet Life, first published serially as digital originals chronicling the continuing adventures of Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield, is now available to read in one volume!

My other find at the used bookstore today. I am quite proud of myself because I actually showed some restraint for once and only spent $11 in there! 😱 I read these in e-serial format back in 2011 when they were first released. As an avid Sweet Valley fan I'm so happy to have a hard copy for my collection! 🤗 In this, the twins are 30(!), with adult drama and F bombs flying. What's not to love? 😂😂😂#SweetValley #SVH #twins #nostalgia #bookhaul

JenlovesJT47 @aschermetz you might get a kick out of this!! 😂 6y
benchley1 I read the first one, it was so bad and such fun...im trying to decide between. SVH or flowers in the attic for my twins prompt 6y

JenlovesJT47 @benchley1 lol so bad it's good, amiright? 😂 I haven't read all of Flowers in the Attic but I think that's another one that falls into the same category. 😅 6y
benchley1 @JenlovesJT47 Yes! It felt like they were trying so hard to be relevant, it forgot it never was! V.C. Andrews lives in my memory as so amazing and great, I'm a rather scared to go back and try! 6y
JenlovesJT47 @benchley1 ooh I know what you mean! But if you're ever in the mood for a Sweet Valley reread they have the regular series on kindle unlimited and the entire series available for free on openlibrary.org - I started a read through of the entire series this year and I'm loving it, although I've taken a break over the last 3 months. I plan on starting again in January. So much fun, like a bad soap opera you can't stop watching! 6y
benchley1 @JenlovesJT47 I have some on my nook app. I may need to try them again. 6y

I bought this on my kindle a while back purely as a nostalgic impulse. I've finally gotten around to reading it and I'm not enjoying it as much as I would have hoped. #SweetValley

youngish-adult Oh my gosh! Loved those books :) 8y
