A character has been turned into a grasshopper and another character asks “Can you give molasses?” The first character opines that he is not that kind of grasshopper. Does anyone have any idea what they are talking about? I searched “grasshopper molasses” and just got stuff about making a grasshopper trap.

Join me and @BookmarkTavern #BeyondtheYellowBrickRoad starting next month! I read the first book many times as a kid and have been meaning to continue the series for a few years, so even though I am overloaded on buddy reads and library books, I can‘t resist joining in.

This book series is amazing.There‘s actually 7 books but I only have 4 😢. The first one is about Dorothy in Oz. The second one is about a boy named Tip who runs away to the emerald city and finds out who he‘s supposed to be. The third one is about Dorothy and her pet chicken get caught in a storm and get stranded on the land of Ev. The fourth one is about the wizard and Dorothy getting stuck in the middle of the Earth and having to go back to Oz
