I'm such a sucker for a good "escape from a brainwashing cult" narrative, and this one fit the bill. Somewhat predictable, but very well written, and had me feverishly turning pages until the end.

This book has an intriguing premise! Although the execution is shaky in some parts (drags in the middle and there's some confusing dialogue throughout) I think the character development and dramatic conclusion make it worth a read for fans of YA contemporary fiction, especially if you're interested in cults.

This book was OVERLY religious and the story was very lack luster. The book could have been 200 pages less and the ending should have been an epilogue set a minimum of 6 months past the events. So this one was meh. Beautiful cover but blah book.

My first time reading an ARC for a review! I'm equal parts excited and nervous 😁😬
