The Earth Path
The Earth Path: Grounding Your Spirit in the Rhythms of Nature | Starhawk
6 posts | 6 read | 3 to read
America's most renowned witch and ecofeminist offers a sequel to her bestselling classic The Spiral Dance, weaving together the latest findings in environmental science with magical spells, chants, meditations and group exercises to create the ultimate primer on our relationship to the earth. From the earliest times, respecting our interdependent relationship with nature has been the first step toward spirituality. Earth, air, fire and water are the four elements worshiped in many indigenous cultures and celebrated in earthbased spiritualities such as Wicca. In The Earth Path, America's bestknown witch offers readers a primer on how to open our eyes to the world around us, respect nature's delicate balance, and draw upon its tremendous powers. Filled with inspiring meditations, chants, and blessings, it offers healing for the spirit in a stressed world and helps readers find their own sources of strength and renewal. Will appeal to Starhawk's traditional Pagan, New Age, and feminist readership. Young women newly interested in magic and witchcraft. A new and growing generation of those involved in ecology

4/5⭐ A practical guide for combining spiritualism with earth-healing practices. Often it has a psychotherapist lens. I learned so much about nature, how things work together, how corporations & laws are specifically destroying these environments, & the short- and long-term impacts of such greedy capitalism on society. It's infuriating and inspires hopelessness, but Starhawk addresses that negativity with reasons for hope throughout. #roll100

Magical consciousness is pattern-thinking, thinking that can comprehend not just separate parts, but wholes in relation to other wholes.

Not an indication of the book which I‘m sure is wonderful, but the writing is Roos mall for me to focus well on and I am not able to read it without headache.

myellenbee Sorry to hear that. I totally understand. I love my kindle and kindle ap because I can make the print really big. But I miss the feel and smell of books. But I definitely pick them based on print size. 2y
Darklunarose @myellenbee I wish our library had this on an e book! I love being able to change the size! But I do pick based on print size these days. 2y

What a wonderful package of goodies! Thank you @j9brown! It's all perfect! I love all the witchy books (I've already read a Celtic tale!) and green magic. And that bookmark, journal, and Strand pencil case are wonderful!

I love this. I get so sick of all the onus being put om the consumer - we absolutely need to work together, but corporations and governments need to take some responsibility too.
