Many years ago I read and wrote about Chocolat by Joanne Harris for my Higher English essay. I loved the book, I think that may be partially due to the fact I could eat my body weight in chocolate in 1 sitting.
Picked this up at the library, turns out it's a sequalto Chocolate. It's taking longer to read the first few chapters as I try to remember the characters and their story lines.

I enjoyed this sort of last chapter in Vianne's story, and the story of Lansquenet. It was a very sweet and cyclical ending to the journey that started with Chocolat. I'm a little sad that some of the relations and endings for characters weren't elaborated on more. I also found a lot of spelling/punctuation issues, which isn't plot related, but did bother me. Overall, I'd recommend the story, even if it is one of the quieter ones in the series.

Ace comfort read with the magical elements that tge previous books included.
I wonder if there'll be another? I believe she writes in accordance with her own dsughter's age.

Like the way in which each chapter is quite short and narrated by a different character.

I keep getting hooked on books in series. A couple of years ago I re-read Chocolat by Joanne Harris and discovered she had sequels. I just began her latest book about Vianne Rocher, THE STRAWBERRY THIEF, and I‘m loving it. I have also enjoyed some of her other books that are not part of the Chocolat series.
