2 posts | 19 read | 3 to read
The Tales of Alvin Maker series continues in volume three, Prentice Alvin. Young Alvin returns to the town of his birth, and begins his apprenticeship with Makepeace Smith, committing seven years of his life in exchange for the skills and knowledge of a blacksmith. But Alvin must also learn to control and use his own talent, that of a Maker, else his destiny will be unfulfilled.

Pickpick

The third book in the Alvin Maker series, this book follows Alvin as an apprentice blacksmith, while he also attempts to learn exactly what it means to be a Maker.

The plot and in this book moves a bit faster, and there were certainly more scenes that kept me on the edge of my seat. I liked seeing Alvin's development as he grew and learned and even made a few mistakes.

I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.
