Mine. Yours.
Mine. Yours. | Marsha Diane Arnold
1 post | 1 read
A sweet and funny story about sharing, friendship and belonging. When Little Panda startles Big Panda awake inside his den, Big Panda crankily declares, ÒMine.Ó Then he puts Little Panda outside, ÒYours.Ó When he still wonÕt leave, Big Panda offers Little Panda a kite. Which delights him! Until the kiteÕs tail starts annoying the other animals in the forest by sweeping up their things. They all give him the same message: their things, ÒMine;Ó the kite, ÒYours.Ó And soon the animals themselves get caught as they try to reclaim their stuff. Can they all learn a new word Ñ ÒOursÓ? No ÒmineÓ allowed! This storyÕs too fun not to share!

A book of few words, letting the artwork tell most of the story. The art is just gorgeous! It's a simple story with a deep lesson on both boundaries- mine vs yours- and sharing- ours. I loved that the artist included a pangolin among the critters Little Panda meets!
