"When Ashes Fall is a tautly written, complex, and emotionally-charged love story that takes the reader on an unforgettable, unexpected, and deeply moving journey." -USA Today It's been said that you can't love two men at the same time. You can't split your heart, soul, and body in half. But I'm here to tell you, you can. Dylan Cole is like ice, sharp and unpredictable, the thunder inside a tumultuous storm. Smith Reid is warmth, soft and gentle, perfect like a sunny day. Both are mine. But I can have only one. There are two sides to this tale. I'm here to tell you mine. If you think this story is about a cheater, you couldn't be more wrong.

This was heartbreakingly beautiful. I felt so much for Alix. Grief isn't easy and manifest for each person differently. I was happy when she found the sunshine in Smith.

The narration helped this one out for sure...The story that is set-up here could have been a really emotional one...only I could see where it was going easily...and I never really felt fully invested in it. While I liked it...I didn't love it. I do think this author writes some of the best sex scenes ever...she doesn't namby-pamby around with silly names for all things sexual.

Overall the story was well written, the author did a good job portraying PTSD and I liked the chemistry between Alix & Smith. I knew right away what happened with Dylan, just not how, but the reveal was disappointing because it lacked creativity. The author basically to a horrific event and created fictional characters placing them into the event. I‘m not sure how I feel about that and even wonder how victims from that day may feel about it. 3*

Gearing up for #24in48 this weekend. These are the selections I‘m hoping to make progress through - but as always it‘s subject to change. My #TBR collection on my Kindle is quite full at the moment. I‘m most excited for When Ashes Fall :).
