This was heartbreakingly beautiful. I felt so much for Alix. Grief isn't easy and manifest for each person differently. I was happy when she found the sunshine in Smith.

The narration helped this one out for sure...The story that is set-up here could have been a really emotional one...only I could see where it was going easily...and I never really felt fully invested in it. While I liked it...I didn't love it. I do think this author writes some of the best sex scenes ever...she doesn't namby-pamby around with silly names for all things sexual.
Overall the story was well written, the author did a good job portraying PTSD and I liked the chemistry between Alix & Smith. I knew right away what happened with Dylan, just not how, but the reveal was disappointing because it lacked creativity. The author basically to a horrific event and created fictional characters placing them into the event. I‘m not sure how I feel about that and even wonder how victims from that day may feel about it. 3*
