The Wedding Wager | Cathy Maxwell
Pickpick

When you are in the middle of a book slump, go back to favourite authors and Cathy Maxwell did not disappoint. I like easy flowing prose and a plot that is neither too complicated for dramatic purposes nor characters that are problematic to be believable in romance. A second chance, enemies to lovers book whose destiny woven by by a bid on a prized stallion. I love the unconventional premise yet plausible slice of Victorian England. A winner
