Followup to my #iSpy-post:
Is anybody surprised that the book I originally wanted to post for having a door (on the cover, in the title) actually does have absolutely no door involved⁉️ 😂😇 What I thought to be a door is a mirror.
it was pure coincidence that I grabbed the other book and that it had a door on it. I was surprised when I saw its title because I was convinced it was this one that I needed to pull out of my shelf.
annamatopoetry I really like this one too! Not my favourite Jostein Gaarder (that would be The Solitaire Mystery) but really good. The title quote is from the Bible, btw, from one of Paul's letters, describing how we perceive god imperfectly. 4y

In the moment I posted it, I realised that I don‘t know how the plot goes. Something with lemonade and tickling limbs❓🤔 Maybe I should re-read it. – My Gaarder favourite, apart from “Sophies World” is “Vita brevis”. 💗 4y
annamatopoetry Yes that's the one. I've been awol from litsy for the last week, sorry. I love Sophie's World as well, it determined my entire academic career! And Vita Brevis is also fantastic! The only two of his books I've read and not liked are Maya and The Ringmaster's Daughter. Oh and The Orange Girl. 4y
annamatopoetry @Buechersuechtling oh, and the plot is... Well, it's about a young Norwegian boy who goes on a road trip to Greece with his dad, finds a story inside a bun and reads it, about a shipwrecked glass blower and a magic island. 4y
