#SoulSeptember #SoundsofSilence
The spring of my junior year in college I went on a silent retreat for a week and practiced the Exercises of St. Ignatius, co-founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in mid 16th c. Although I kept a journal throughout the week, I do not have words to express what a profound experience it was to connect & communicate with a spiritual life, the world of nature, & my participants through the modality of silence.
