Not my favorite one but I definitely enjoyed it more that the last few Hangmen books. I can‘t believe Tillie Cole made me sympathize with a nazi😳 I like that she used the brainwashing aspect of growing up in that kind of environment., I actually felt horrible for young Tanner😢 I really enjoyed that the second half of the book had so much with the other Hangmen and so much set up for future books(Lil Ash❤️Saffie😍). 🖤🖤🖤🖤/5

CocoReads Yes, after Viking I totally need Ash and Saffie. Every time I read one of those books my heart just breaks for the kids. 5y

So I stayed up til midnight finishing DE. This book was amazing - I wasn‘t sure how Cole would make me love Tanner, but she did. And Adelita was awesome. The continuing inclusion of other Hangmen lives just made this book even better. I wasn‘t a big fan of the flashbacks. #hadeshangmen #romantsy #romance

Lauren_reading The second half was so much better than the first half, maybe one long flashback would have been better. And I‘m so freaking excited for a Flame novella and Viking‘s book!!! All the Viking at the end was great. 5y

Daughter-of-words I agree, I would have liked it better if she started with their backstory instead of going back and forth. Love Viking! and Lil Ash and Saffie continue to break my heart😢 I can‘t wait for their book too! 5y

theresidentromantic I finished too! This is my second least favorite, I think. And it's not cause it was bad, I really enjoyed it! I just couldn't get into it, I think the Romeo and Juliet motif had no movement, no surprise and that made the story a bit stale. And I'm really REALLY mad at the boys. Like, really mad. Which is good writing on Tillie's part, but I'm still mad at them for not being there for Tanner. 5y

theresidentromantic @LaurenReads I'm honestly just as mad that Tank's comment didn't even shame them! Like Tanner and Tank both said something about it and they didn't even acknowledge them! I'm so mad. 5y

Finally got around to this one, it was a sweet little story and it sets up the next Hangmen book although I‘m still on the fence on Tanner hopefully Tillie can redeem him cause he‘s still my least liked character in the series.

theresidentromantic So there's a sneak peek at Tanner on Tillie's Insta, it gave me a bit of hope. I need it to be amazing because I didn't really like the last one at all. I'm scared of getting one for Lil Ash, him and Sapph are both traumatized, but healing. There's always room for more trauma with this war before their book!O.O 6y

So I bought it and read it and loved it soooo much!!!! The only thing I didn‘t like was that it was only a novella and I wish it was longer 😀😍 I loved Beauty and Tanks story and the tie in to the next novel.
