My daughter and I have decided we want to start collecting the Little People, Big Dreams series. This is the first one we've got - selected by the 7 year old on the basis that Josephine had a pet cheetah! I wanted the Frida Kahlo one so that will be next ... though my daughter says she wants Greta Thunberg - so many inspiring figures to chose from! These books are a great introduction & give lots of follow up reading.

ncsufoxes We have a few, Amelia Earhart & Marie Curie are my daughter‘s favorites. 3y
humouress ‘selected by the 7 year old on the basis that Josephine had a pet cheetah!‘ Well, obviously. Seems like a good criterion. 😊 (edited) 3y

4⭐️ A short biography of Josephine Baker that highlights the good points in her life, her struggle as a black girl/woman in a white world, and her humanitarian efforts. It‘s short and simple for the age it‘s designated, and it works.

IamIamIam Oh, I love this!!! I'm going to check out our library for this! 6y
LibrarianRyan @IamIamIam might not be out yet. But if not, it‘s soon. I was late on my review 6y
