Mehso-so

The problem is this should be a really fricken cool horror novel, but it's published by a romance line and the romance bored me to bits. The sex scenes spanned chapters!

Thumbs down for profoundly not caring about the POV character having pants feelings. Thumbs up for a really unique werewolf culture that's definitely more wolf than man. It's a wash.

I'm only just through the prologue, but A+ for the worldbuilding. First in a trilogy. Currently free on Kindle.

Pickpick

The first 3/4 of the book, I was sucked in. Loved the plot, and unique world building. A few points taken off because in the last 1/4 of the book, the plot feels a little off. Some small inconsistencies in the plot, and a few plot points seemed a little too convenient.

Maria Vale has a unique and intriguing style. Raw, romantic, and wild. Believable mythology. I look forward to the sequel.
