Date with a Werewolf
Date with a Werewolf | Francine Pascal, Kate William
2 posts | 3 read | 1 to read
The second book in this three-part mini-series will grab both Sweet Valley fans and horror fans. While Elizabeth and Jessica continue their internship at the London Journal, Scotland Yard is baffled by a series of grisly murders. Meanwhile Elizabeth and Luke have become more than friends, and they both suspect Jessica may be in danger from her new friend Lord Robert Pembroke.

This is a case where the second book in a trio suffers. The cliffhanger from the first in the miniseries ended on a cliffhanger that was almost too quickly wrapped up and the rest of the book was just setting the stage for the third. The werewolf premise is already wearing thin, so I‘ll be glad to see this wrap up in the next book.

Book 2 in the werewolf miniseries is rather tedious. Jessica is not dead - she switched rooms with a woman named Joy who also has blond hair, and Joy was the unfortunate victim. Liz is a smug bitch and pins it all on Jess‘s new boy toy, Robert. Robert goes on the run at the end of the book, and Jess continues to believe in his innocence. 3⭐️
