I think of cool old books signed by a giver as 'lost books' when I find/rescue them. They raise so many questions...who was May & did she like Indonesian Cookery?...was it a happy birthday or was she mad she got a cookbook?...was the cookbook given to her in 1963 when it published?...who got the NYTimes Cookbook?...who were Marie & Jon?...was the recipient mad they gave her her a 1961 published cookbook in 1970? Hmm...🤔
