Hachiko: The True Story of a Loyal Dog | Pamela S. Turner, Yan Nascimbene

This is based on a true story of a dog who waited at a train station to greet his owner each afternoon and who, after his owner's sudden death, continued to wait for him at the station until his own death 10 years later. Every child in Japan knows the story of Hachiko. There‘s a memorial statue of Hachiko at Shibuya station, a famous tourist spot, which I visited a few years ago. There‘s also a film adaptation starring Richard Gere 😍.

Libby1 I‘ve visited this statue, too. It‘s a lovely story that reminds me of Greyfriars Bobby. ❤️ 6y
