This book was rage inducing with it‘s clichés, dated, sexist writing and cardboard characters. ? Why did EVERY sentence have to end with an exclamation point? And does anyone actually use ‘Hooo boy‘ anymore when exclaiming surprise? It‘s like I was stuck in some bad 50‘s movie. #LitsyAtoZ #abecedarianTBR #H #popsugar2020 #bookpublishedinthemonthofyourbirthday #december

LinesUponAPage I mean after all it is from the 80s, right? How do we judge a book in our time written for another time? I always have to remind myself that authors weren‘t writing what we know and believe, but what they lived through. They can‘t tell the future where beliefs and experiences change or even writing styles... 4y
throwmeabook That‘s very true @Lifeisasnap and I acknowledge that this was written during a different time but I‘ve read many of his books from this time (it was written in 1995) and thoroughly enjoyed them, writing style and all. This one is just not on the level I expect from James Patterson. 4y
LinesUponAPage That makes sense. 4y

I own this book but someone is borrowing it so I had to find a picture online. I love the Alex Cross series. I'm a few books behind now....I may have to order them soon. #HideAndSeek
