This book is a SF and I would read as a RT. It‘s about a boy named Niko,his dog Tag, and copilot Radar that travel through space and get to planet ice which then encounter snow monster which has an evil bunny spy and they end up loosing radar which is captive by the spy bunny. Then they manage to escape and get home but is it over or will the snow monster and killer bunny be back?! #ucflae3414su19

DrSpalding Looking at the front cover, this is less science-fiction and more… What genre? Storyboarding and understanding chronology using timelines is important. Helpful resource. 5y

A Realistic Fiction book, TS's include RA, RT, IR, GR and PR. It's about a young boy having an adventure in his back yard, where he imagines he is a Space Traveller avoiding a "snow monster" in order to save his companion Radar. Quickly in his imagined world, it turns into a fight with the snow monster, but eventually, prevails on saving his friend from the monster and a bunny.

A nice way for students to interact with different books, and can allow for students to understand different styles of literature. This book is a little more difficult to understand if it's a Fiction or Non-fiction, so having the students study differences can help in the future. 6y
JordanL Using a UDL 3.3, for information processing, because students need to understand that the world the story takes place is in a fictional planet inside Niko's imagination. Having an ESOL strategy #2, so they can read and interact with a partner, and also #12 as there should be aides for understanding the 2 objectives of identifying differences between Fiction and Non-fiction. #UCDLAE3414SP18 6y
