Hoot to Kill
Hoot to Kill | Karen Dudley

Most biologists believe the worst thing about field biology is watching everything else have sex except you. Robyn Devara is no exception. In the remote logging town of Marten Valley, Robyn knows she's not likely to win popularity contests, much less get any dates. After all, she's there to survey the old-growth forest for spotted owls, and, if she finds any of the endangered birds, it's going to mean big changes for the people of Marten Valley.

Mehso-so

This is bordering on a pan for me but I'm rating it as so-so because I think this was more of an authors voice not meshing with me then it being a bad book. The dialogue did not seem natural and the jokes mostly went over my head or didn't seem that funny to me.

I don't know what my fascination is with bird themed mystery novels but I found another series at the library and I'm starting it now. #whatfebruarytbr #goingrogue

DebinHawaii Have you read the Birds of a Feather Mysteries by Marty Wingate? I think they are fun bird-themed cozies--although they still may only be e-books. I tagged the first below. 6y
danibolahood @DebinHawaii amazing! Thank you!! I had not heard of these ones so I'm stacking! 6y
DebinHawaii @danibolahood My pleasure! I enjoy this series (4 books so far I think) & her gardening based one too if you want to branch out from birds sometime.😆👍 6y
