Black Panther: Long Live the King (Marvel Premiere Graphic Novel)
Black Panther: Long Live the King (Marvel Premiere Graphic Novel) | Nnedi Okorafor
5 posts | 5 read | 3 to read
HEAVY IS THE HEAD THAT WEARS THE CROWN! As the Black Panther and an Avenger, T'Challa has had to save the world time and again - but those duties pale in comparison to his responsibilities as king of Wakanda. As the nation rebuilds in the wake of revolution, T'Challa finds his people besieged by a massive monster tearing through the country, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake! From acclaimed novelist NNEDI OKORAFOR (Binti, Who Fears Death) and illustrator ANDRE LIMA ARAUJO (SPIDEY, The Wicked + The Divine) comes an adventure set in the world of Ta-Nehisi Coates' landmark BLACK PANTHER run and told in the Mighty Marvel Manner!

Pickpick

Oh wow - Okorafor is A VASTLY better comics writer than Ta-Nehisi Coates. There, I said it.

tournevis She's a vastly better author that Coates bar none, but what do I know? 5y
Lauredhel @tournevis she is dead fabulous and no mistake! But that doesn't always translate into comics writing 5y
tournevis @Lauredhel True that! 5y

Today's library haul. I discovered last night that a graphic novel of Nnedi Okorafor's Black Panther run was out and had to go get it.

It took me entirely too long to read this? Like four days? I dunno. Just lackluster to me and weird pacing. Admittedly the lady Black Panther Venom in a wheelchair was pretty cool, though!

Realized when I got to the end, that I accidentally skipped the last two of Coates' comics. Guess they weren't 100% necessary, because I wasn't lost. I'll likely go back and grab them still.
