Relive the legendary 1990s JLA series, written by comics mastermind Grant Morrison (FINAL CRISIS) with stunning art by Howard Porter and others, in this amazing oversized softcover collecting JLA #1-9 and SECRET FILES AND ORIGINS #1! The action begins as the JLA reunites to stop the Hyperclan, who have come to Earth posing as a new group of super heroes. But as their true nature comes to light, only the World's Greatest Super Heroes can stop them! Standing side by side, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Green Lantern and the Martian Manhunter take on alien posers and come to realize that Earth needs a protectorate made up of only the mightiest icons!

To celebrate the release of the mediocre Justice League movie, I‘m posting a week‘s worth of comic moments that are truly #JLAwesome

This one time some angels from Heaven decided they should take over the Earth and their leader Asmodel ends up going toe to toe with Superman (who at the time was blue and made out of electricity because comic books).

My favorite bit here is the Flash taking a moment to just be in awe of Supes wrestling an angel.

I own essentially every Justice League collection published by DC. They are my favorite superhero team. I love every era and incarnation in different ways.

So... the movie was okay, I guess. It was clear that a WB exec had pointed at Marvel films and said “Do that!”

It was a vast improvement on the grim, soulless, steaming pile of garbage that was Batman v Superman, but didn‘t reach the gleaming heights of Wonder Woman.

TobeyTheScavengerMonk At least Batman didn‘t shoot people in this one. 6y

I have a whole bookshelf dedicated solely to the JLA and my favorite era is the "Big 7" years in the late '90s written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Howard Porter. These are some of my favorite #heroes

God, I wish one of the all-time great, most influential JUSTICE LEAGUE runs didn't look like this.
