CBee So, I have a funny thing I do with the AC/DC song. We have doggies and they get dirty of course, I came up with “dirty dogs and they don‘t get clean” to the tune of the song and in the growly voice 😂😂😂 Might only be funny to me and the hubs though - we‘re a couple of kooks 🤣 (edited) 2y

Although it moves pretty slowly for most of the novel, it really picks up at the end. More happens in terms of plot in the last 30 pages than in the first half of the book.

It's a slow burn, but it's really getting good.

sixgun I once accidently read CJ Cherryh's Rusalka. It came as a sci-fi book club pick, and I thought the cover art was pretty. And that was the only reason I picked it up. Immediately I was pulled in and I always have meant to go back to read more. Thank you for the reminder. 5y

I'm almost halfway through Downbelow Station and I love how it eschews the hero's quest narrative structure. There are so many factions, different characters with conflicting allegiances.
